Bluejays Prepared And Excited For NCAA Regional Tournament
The baseball players and coaches head to LA early Wednesday morning to begin tournament action.
Omaha, NE- The Creighton Bluejays head to the Los Angeles Regional to begin NCAA baseball tournament action.
The Missouri Valley Conference champs loaded buses to catch their early flights to L.A. at the CU sports complex Wednesday morning.
The Jays are the fourth seed in the regional tournament and will face the number one seed, UCLA. The Bruins have a 42-and-14 record.
Head Coach, Ed Servais, says the players are excited and prepared.
"Is going to be a challenge for us, but that being said I think we are going to have a good plan against them," says Servais. "It's baseball and you never know. A lot of people didn't think we'd be at this point in the season still playing and we are, so anything can happen. We will take our chances against UCLA on Friday."
Creighton and UCLA will play in the night cap this Friday at 9:00 p.m. central time.
The game will be streamed live on www.gocreighton.com.
