Service Dogs Get Free Eye Exams
Dogs Help Owners With Mobility, Balance
Omaha, NE - Some local vets are taking the time this month to help dogs that help others.
Service dogs help guide their owners, so today (Thursday) some of those owners returned the favor by giving their pooch a free eye exam. At the Veterinary Eye Specialists of Nebraska, doctors checked to make sure some service dogs have good eyesight. The stakes are high because these dogs often help their masters with mobility and balance.
"My dog is a working dog," said customer Roxann Hamilton. "He's required to see well in order to do his job."
Free eye exams for service dogs will last through the rest of this month. If you're interested in getting your dog tested, just call the Veterinary Eye Specialists of Nebraska or VESN at 402-496-0555 to make an appointment.
