Mega Millions Jackpot Hits $500 Million
The Next Drawing Is Friday
Omaha, NE- Due to increased sales, officials in the states participating in the Mega Millions with Megaplier game have increased the estimated jackpot amount for the Friday, March 30 drawing to $500 million or $359.4 million with the cash option selected.
The jackpot starts at $12 million and continues growing until somebody wins.
There have been 18 drawings since January 27 without a jackpot winner.
The $500 million is the largest jackpot in U.S. history.
The previous record of $390 million was set in 2007.
The $500 million would be paid out over 25 years.
The winning numbers are announced Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 p.m.
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 175 million.
