Omaha, NE – The winds that we are dealing with Wednesday is causing some problems and even school cancellations. Gomez Elementary cancelled classes due to a power outage.
Chicago isn’t the only windy city today, Omaha is having pretty high gusts as well.
Debris flying everywhere, you can see leaves and plastic bags, trash cans and boxes taking a tumble. Drivers on the interstate were holding on to their steering wheels with gusts over 45 miles per hour.
Our meteorologists have been tracking this storm system in the Southwest Desert since Monday. A wind advisory remains in effect until 4 pm.
