Man Accused of Flashing at Village Pointe
Omaha, NE - A 57-year-old man is in trouble for flashing people at a popular West Omaha shopping center.
Security caught Thomas Keber exposing himself two stores at Village Pointe.
We dug deeper and learned most flashers choose businesses or parking lots to reveal themselves.
Flashers are normally men between the ages of 25 to 35 who feel their masculinity is threatened, have compulsive and impulsive problems.
"Generally we believe it’s just a compulsive behavior and they're looking for some shock value and once it’s done they move on,” said UNO Associate Professor Lisa Sample.
Studies show there are three types of exhibitionists.
A person who just exposes himself, someone who exposes and touches himself, and repeat offenders, those in this third category are likely to go on and commit violent sex crimes.
Just last week a woman was busted for exposing herself to a police officer.
If you’re caught, in many states that can land the exposer on a sex offender list.
