New Political Ad Targets Democrat Bob Kerrey
Omaha, NE - A Political Action Committee, known as Americans for Prosperity, is out with a thirty second political spot hitting possible candidate Bob Kerrey, hard.
The attack ad says Kerrey is "bringing his liberal act to Nebraska". The Super Pac has ties to the Tea Party. Nebraska Watchdog.org Managing Editor Joe Jordan told KMTV Action 3 News, "Americans for Prosperity is a conservative organization. They want the G-O-P to control the Senate. If they can knock Kerrey out, stop him before he gets in the race, that's what they want. "
Polical Action Committees are expected to flood the airwaves with ads ever since the 2010 U-S Supreme Court decision allowing big money donors to give money to these PACs, instead of directly to candidates.
Critics point to last year's huge dispute between unions and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker over collective bargaining. Those critics believe billionaires funded the anti-union push and are now backing Americans for Prosperity. Kerrey is expected to announced any day now if he will run for the U-S Senate seat being vacated by fellow Democrat Ben Nelson.
