Volunteers Give Out Fire Safety Tips
Event sponsored by Hope Worldwide
Omaha, NE - Volunteers went door-to-door in Omaha Sunday urging people to keep their homes and familes safe from fire. Members of "Hope Worldwide" handed out information about fire safety and prevention. Homeowners who don't have smoke alarms and fire detectors can get them free from the Omaha Fire Department. It's such a simple way to keep your family safe. "My mom lives here now with her husband and when her husbands at work, I think that's a really great idea to have that smoke and fire detector in there," Christina Thacker said. Omaha firefighters will come to your home to install a free smoke detector, just call 402-444-3560 to make an appointment. Hope Worldwide organized today's event in honor of the Martin Luther King day of service.
