Mom Locks Kids Out Of House, Goes To Bar
Boy Calls 911
Omaha, NE - After yelling at her kids and throwing them out of the car, the mother reportedly locked them out of the house.
Then she headed to the bar.
Police reports say 32-year-old Oneallah Byrd left her 10-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter outside of their home near 21st and Lake. She handed the boy a phone, then headed to 24th and Lake. It was one in the morning.
The boy waited an hour-and-a-half--until 2:30 a.m.--before he called 911 for help.
Neighbors told officers she had been yelling at them before she left.
Byrd was cited for two counts of child neglect.
