The Omaha metro area will be under a Winter Storm Warning from midnight Monday to 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Areas to the north will be under a Blizzard Warning during that same time period. To the south, a Winter Weather Advisory runs from 3 a.m. Tuesday to 4 a.m. Wednesday.

"You can see Omaha, Lincoln - Winter Storm Warnings. There's the Blizzard Warning, again just a little bit better shot of hitting that blizzard criteria with those winds being the key with this. We need them at 35 mph sustained for a period of three hours or longer. And of course, the snow. We're going to get the snow, its just how strong will the winds be across the area from Omaha to the north,"  said Meteorologist Ryan McPike.
