Warren Buffett's letter to shareholders

Ceo of Berkshire Hathaway Warren Buffett issued his annual company report and letter to shareholders.

In the letter he's very optimistic about the growth of the United States economy and spoke highly of immigrants and their contributions.

We spoke with Business Reporter Steve Jordon and he gave some insight on Warren Buffett’s letter and outlook on America’s future.

Warren Buffett released his letter to Berkshire Hathaway share holders with a positive message that investment gains will continue to be substantial.

“People can get a good sense of what sort of ways to think about investing their money.”

In 2016 Berkshire Hathaway earned 27.5 billion dollars in net worth.

 “The year before, he gained 15 billion, so on that scale 2016 was a much better year.”

Buffet also speaks about America’s ability to withstand time considering the last 240 years.

“He’s very optimistic about the United States and the economy and how people are doing, he thinks the United States has a very good system.”

He spoke highly of the country’s immigrants saying

“Americans have combined human ingenuity, a market system, a tide of talented and ambitious immigrants, and the rule of law to deliver abundance beyond any dreams of our forefathers.”

“He doesn’t talk about the new president or what’s going on with politics it’s totally on the business side and what to do with investments.”

Buffet will hold his annual shareholders meeting at the Century Link Center May 6.
