Police need help finding the man they say is responsible for vehicle break-ins and burglaries around Omaha including in Aksarben Village.

Matthew W. Miller, 29, is wanted for one count of felony burglary.  An arrest warrant has been issued in Douglas County.

Police tell KMTV on Monday afternoon that they believe Miller is behind numerous break-ins city-wide and illegal credit card use.

A search warrant says the crimes go back to early March where Miller is suspected of breaking into vehicles in separate Aksarben parking garages, and burglarizing an Aksarben construction site for thousands of dollars in tools.

In May, police find that truck with tools, and items belonging to at least 9 different people.

Since March there have been at least one dozen break-ins and burglaries in Aksarben in the hotel parking lots, garages, and street spots.

Oscar Prewett, with Auto Glass Now, was parked in an Aksarben Village parking garage when his tools were stolen.

"Very upsetting, very upsetting considering I make a living with those tools, it really stung quite hard,” Prewett explained.  "It doesn't come easy and it doesn't come cheap, and to have someone come in and take that from you is disheartening and honestly aggravates me to no end.”

Miller served more than two years for theft in three counties.

The Omaha Police Department is asking for your help locating Miller, all (402)-444-7867 with any information.
