Eppley Airfield Officials say some people may be walking miles to the rally from their parking spot.

Thousands are expected to attend Friday’s event at the Werner Enterprises Hangar and police say they’re asking two things from the public, arrive early and be patient.

Those wanting to attend the rally can pay to park at garages and lots near the airport, but spaces are first come first serve and handicap parking is limited.

Officials say the preliminary plan is to turn Lindbergh Plaza, a horseshoe shaped road on the backside of Eppley into a one-way street to help with the flow of traffic around the site of the rally.

Doors open at 1 p.m. and Donald Trump is speaking until 4 p.m., but police say to arrive well before that to find a parking spot.

Everyone will have to go through metal detectors before even entering the venue.  Police say that will add extra time to the wait, but it's all for the safety of those in attendance.
