The Sarpy County Caucus started a 2pm Saturday, with check-in at 1pm. Doors closed at 2:10, but even with the extra 10 minutes, people were not able to get inside to caucus.

Sarpy County party officials said they would be ready for big crowds, at Bryan High School; dozens of people could not get in because they did not get checked-in in time.

"It’s my first time caucusing and I don’t get to caucus, I don’t get to exercise my right as a citizen," said Jess Martin, who was turned away.

People were upset that it did not say on the website that the doors closed at 2:10pm, but the show still had to go on for those who were inside to caucus.

Over at Papillion La Vista High School things ran pretty smooth for the 659 people there. Supporters filled in to a Bernie Sanders side and a Hillary Clinton side.

As groups were separated, the Hillary side went for counting hands, and the Bernie side had a line system with a high five at the end.

The Sarpy County results will be in at 8pm Saturday evening.
