Omaha Police are looking for a man who they say has sexually assaulted three women at or near the Creighton University campus.

Police say the man has followed, grabbed, and sexually assaulted the women.

Two of the incidences happened last April, and one just last week.

The descriptions of the man have varied a bit, in each case the guy was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and in one instance, a bandana over his face.

Police say a 19-year-old student who was walking to her dorm was pulled to the ground and a man forced his hand inside her pants.

“Just the mannerisms have been the same in all three, which is why I think they are tied together,” said Omaha Police Lieutenant Mark Desler.

He said they believe they are looking for one suspect.

“Obviously this person prefers lone females to be targeted,” he said.

Elizabeth Power with the Women’s Center for Advancement said these assaults case fear.

“They are even scarier, we know statistically speaking many sexual assaults happen by somebody you know, so it is a rare incident when it is a stranger,” said Power.

Creighton campus police have added more patrols around dorms, and the Jayride is also a free service that can give students a ride anywhere on campus.

Officials are urging students and the public to stay vigilant while they look for the man behind the assaults.

“If you have to walk alone, well lit, well populated path,” said Desler.

Police are asking anyone to report suspicious activity.
