Disappointment yet again for supporters of medical marijuana in Nebraska. State lawmakers rejected the latest attempt to pass a medical marijuana bill.

Supporters believe cannabis oil would alleviate the pain of their loved ones who have neurological disorders such as epilepsy and Parkinson's. Opponents believe it would set a pave the way to legalizing recreational use of pot. Senator Bill Kintner of Papillion voted against it.  "There's going to be more studies and we're going to have a better idea of how marijuana fits into our medical system what's appropriate and all that stuff we ask of other drugs."

Governor Pete Ricketts had promised to veto the bill if it arrived at his desk.
