BLAIR, Neb. (KMTV) – Washington County sheriff’s deputies have recovered the body of a man who went missing Thursday, after his boat capsized during thunderstorms.

Washington County Chief Deputy Kevin Willis said 32-year-old Ray Boston Jr.’s body was located just after 11 a.m. this morning at the bottom of Arrowhead Lake.

Carmen Boston, Ray Boston Jr.’s mother, said she would not stop believing her son was still alive until he was found this morning.

"I'm actually admitting my son is gone," Boston said.

On Thursday morning, Boston was out fishing with a friend on the lake when stormy weather hit, and their canoe capsized.

Search and rescue teams scoured the lake all day Thursday and Friday for a body, fighting murky water, littered with debris, and afternoon storms.

On Saturday morning, divers found Boston's body, at the bottom of the lake.

"The diver that found him, he told me that when he found him, Ray had his hands crossed over his chest and his eyes were closed, he looked very peaceful," Boston said.

Now his mother is trying to be strong for her family. Boston leaves behind six young children..

"It's still hard to admit that he's gone, but I mean it's going take us all a while to get through it," Boston said.

Carmen said Ray loved to fish, and was planning a fishing trip with one of his nephews later this summer.

"It's kind of heart wrenching, but I'm going get through this, because I mean, I know my baby is found, and he's at peace,” Boston said.
