Council Bluffs Police are investigating an accident that left a pedestrian critically injured Tuesday morning.
Police say 65 year old Clifford Guild was hit by a vehicle driven by 25 year old Jessica Sawyer at 38th and Avenue G around 8:30 Tuesday morning. When officers arrived, Guild was unresponsive and did not have a pulse. He was taken to CHI Creighton where he remains in critical condition.
Police say for an unknown reason, Guild crossed the street in front of Sawyer's vehicle. The accident remains under investigation.
