Washington County Sheriff Mike Robinson did his part to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

He dyed his hair pink and then his daughter, Ashley, did the honors of shaving it off at  a volleyball game between Arlington and Fort Calhoun.

Ashley Robinson posted the video on her Facebook page. (We've attached the video to this story.)

The "Shave the Sheriff" fundraiser raised money by selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a 55-inch TV or a WalMart gift card.

The sheriff had said he would shave his head if they raised more than $5,000.

The proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research and awareness.

The fundraiser is in memory of two women who died of breast cancer: Arlington High School secretary Kim Dobson and Washington County dispatcher Carolyn Wais.

Organizers were still counting how much money had been raised on Tuesday night.
