A pair of trucks filled with donated clothes, toiletries and other items left for the Houston area Friday morning from an Elkhorn church.

The trucks have been parked at St. Patrick's Church off 204th and Maple streets for a few days. Parishioner Amanda Pfeifer has been working to fill the trucks since Tropical Storm Harvey hit the Houston area, where her brother works with a team of EMTs.

TSL Corp. donated the trucks and drivers for the endeavor. A third truck has since been parked at the church for the rest of the donations.

One of the Texas-bound trucks will drop off donations at a church in Huffman, Texas. About 1200 displaced people are staying in the church and officials say the supplies will be much appreciated.

The second truck is heading to help families in the Houston School District. Many low-income families lost everything and will take on a significant financial burden as they rebuild their lives.

The third truck will bring more supplies to families.
