After tough criticism from previous snowstorms, the city says it had extra resources for the Groundhog Day storm that helped them perform better.

"I think in terms of what our state of level service is we certainly performed above that in this storm. We've kind of been on par with that throughout the season. But I think bringing in some extra resources and having things in our disposal that we haven't had definitely helped us to exceed our level of service," said Austin Rowser, an Omaha street maintenance engineer.

He says they will continue to adjust the snow removal plan as needed.

Public Works said about 50 vehicle owners received tickets before noon Tuesday for failing to removed their cars, a requirement during a snow emergency.
