An 11-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital after she was injured on a ride at the Cinco de Mayo festival in South Omaha on Saturday.
Police say the young girl was on the ride when the injury occurred.
Witnesses told KMTV they heard screaming and saw the girl with her hair caught in the ride. One man said he jumped into help her and there was a lot of blood and a severe injury to the her head.
Police are investigating what caused the accident. They said the girl's injuries are serious but appear to be non-life threatening and is being treated at Nebraska Medicine.
