Authorities investigating fatal motorcycle crash

Authorities are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that occurred  at Cedar Island Road and Linda St in Bellevue on Thursday evening. 

According to BPD, at around 5:46 p.m., Police and Bellevue Fire responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Cedar Island and Linda in Bellevue.

Upon arrival Officers found one of the vehicles, a 1999 Dodge Caravan fully engulfed in fire.

The driver of the Dodge Caravan was identified as 71-year-old, Linda Bracken of Bellevue.

BPD officials say Bracken sustained minor injuries during the crash.

Authorities day the Dodge Caravan was traveling south bound on Cedar Island, and turning east bound onto Linda Street.

The second vehicle involved in the crash was a 2006 sport bike motorcycle, which was north bound on Cedar Island. The sport bike struck the Dodge Caravan on the rear passenger side.

The impact of the crash resulted in the Dodge Caravan catching fire.

The driver of the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

BPD says that the driver of the motorcycle is not being identified at this time, pending positive identification through autopsy and dental records.
