The day before Nebraska's primary election, the Douglas County Election Commission is pulling all the stops to make the voting process easier.

This year, they have volunteers lined-up, new ballot drop off locations and back-up generators.

They will unveil a new feature, all aimed to help voters.

Ballots in Douglas County will go through a machine that can process 10-thousand ballots in an hour and it won't jam up.

Voter turnout is expected to be at its normal 23 percent in Douglas County.

The machine costs around 100-thousand dollars...

But officials say in the end, it's an investment well spent for taxpayers during the primary and presidential election

Polls open Tuesday morning at 8am.

Monday is also the last day to vote early at the Douglas County Election Office.
