Omaha Police told KMTV that two people were arrested at the anti-Donald Trump rally in Downtown Omaha Wednesday night.

The protest started in Gene Leahy Mall and later went into the Old Market around 11th and Howard.

OPD officials said one person was arrested for obstruction and another for unlawful assembly.

The protest started around 6:00 p.m. Wednesday and lasted just over 5 hours.

Omaha Police told KMTV they also deployed pepper balls during the protest.

There were hundreds of protesters out there.

Omaha was among the cities across the country that were protesting after Donald Trump was elected president on Tuesday.
