Police Schedule Gun Amnesty Day in Lincoln
Lincoln- People in Lincoln can soon get rid of unwanted guns, no questions asked.
The Lincoln Police Department will accept weapons and ammunition during its first Gun Amnesty Day.
People can anonymously drop off weapons from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in the NeighborWorks Lincoln parking lot on March 23rd.
Authorities say people should transport the guns in the trunk or backseat of their car in open containers.
Officers urge people to unload the guns, open their slides, bolts and actions.
Police will not pay for the guns or ammunition.
