Local Gun Owners Shoot Down the Idea of Gun Legislation
Gun owners pack Fort Calhoun Gun Show
The doors to the Fort Calhoun Gun Show were closed to Action 3 News Saturday but folks outside had plenty to say regarding gun legislation and the President's call to reduce gun violence after the Sandy Hook tragedy. Although nothing is set, President Obama has said that the assault weapons ban should be re-instated. Vice President Joe Biden has talked about limits on high-capacity magazines and universal background checks.
Gun owner Steve Freyer says, "How many weapons do you need? How much ammunition do you need?." NRA member John Cerny says, "They think there legislation is going to stop it. Would a little red sticker on the movie theater stop that in Colorado? No. An armed citizen would have stopped him."
