2nd Officer Fired for Wagner Incident to be Reinstated
In June an independent labor arbitrator ruled to reinstate officer Dolinsky. We learned they reinstated officer Pennington as well. Video by kmtv.comvideo
It's this surveillance video and what happened after that's made it a tough road for the Omaha Police Department.
"I believe officer Pennington acted appropriately that night."
Surveillance video from May 2011 shows police arresting Robert Wagner outside of Creighton University Medical Center.
Police were there to control a large group of people after a shooting, and officers say Wagner was causing a disturbance.
The rough arrest led to the firing of officers Jackie Dolinsky and Aaron Pennington.
The Omaha Police Officer's Association says the department;s termination was politically motivated and OPD handled the whole incident inappropriately.
