Omaha, NE - It's a trend that started last month when the number of gun permits issued here in douglas county went through the roof. In one month,  685 people got permits to buy guns, double the number from the year before. Monday, in just eight hours, the number soared again. Folks lined at the Douglas County Sheriff's Office to make sure they got a five dollar permit to purchase a handgun. Folks that Action 3 talked to say it's all because of the Newtown tragedy and remarks made by the President last night, calling for "meaningful legislation" possibly gun control.
