Two Papillion Adults Cited in Connection with Deadly Crash
Papillion police have cited Dave and Donna Newell with contributing to the deliquency of a child. Police say the Newells knew about an underage drinking party at their home in late September.
Police say 18-year-old Jon Zadina was at their home before he crashed his car into a tree and died. They are waiting for Zadina's toxicology reports. Police say they were able to cite the Newells based on a 17-year-old who was drinking at their home.
Police say they were about a dozen teens and young adults at the home. They're looking at how they got the alcohol and more charges are possible as the investigation continues.
Dave Newell told Action 3 News his thoughts are with the Zadina family and more information will come out soon.
Those close to Jon Zadina's family tell us a fund has been set up at the First Savings Bank at 3540 S. 84th St.
