Car Theft Victim Lands in the Hospital
Omaha Police are trying to piece together how a red pick-up truck wound up on the front lawn of Taco Bell on 48th and L.
Police say a man's truck was stolen this afternoon. Instead of calling police, he and his son found the truck and a person inside. They confronted the person they assumed was the thief.
Somehow during that confrontation, the theft victim fell out of the truck, the truck wound up off the road and the suspected thief ran off.
Officers called off their search Tuesday evening without having found the suspected thief.
The car theft victim went to the hospital because of that fall, but he's expected to be okay.
