Omaha Man Admits He Robbed14 Businesses in Five Days
Police arrested Deon Stewart Monday
Omaha, NE – Deon Stewart admits to robbing more than a dozen businesses in five days.
Police say the 21-year-old is responsible for 14 armed robberies. Police arrested Stewart Monday initially for a robbery at Midtown Gas & Grocery and a Check into Cash business.
Stewart was armed and he says as he robbed the businesses sometimes his gun was loaded. He says he robbed these people because he “wanted to start a business.”
“I know I was going to get caught. Omaha is so small there’s no where you can run and once you’re on the news someone is going to give you up,” says Stewart.
As of now Stewart has no attorney and will be assigned a public defender.
