Omaha, NE – Isaac Pfeifer suffered a major spinal injury and is paralyzed. He is recovering at Nebraska Medical Center from his surgery Wednesday.

His family says Isaac has no feeling in his lower body. The Norfolk Catholic Senior tackled a Fort Calhoun player Tuesday night.
Coaches called it a textbook play. Isaac took a bad fall and couldn’t feel anything in his lower body. He suffered a spinal cord injury and was airlifted to Nebraska Medical Center.
Isaac’s father watched the play and had no idea how bad it was until his son didn’t get off the field.
“It just looked they got the wind knocked out of them maybe a concussion at worse and pretty soon the trainers walked over there and the next thing we see is both teams on their knees. We kind of knew when things weren’t happening quickly something was wrong,” says Neil Pfeifer.
Isaac will move to a rehab facility in Lincoln next week.
