Iowa Election Offices Are Open Saturday
Republican or Democrat, with only three days till the election both parties know it will be a fight to the finish for votes in Iowa.
Council Bluffs, IA – Even on a Saturday, Iowa election offices are open.
Republican or Democrat, with only three days till the election both parties know it will be a fight to the finish for votes in Iowa.
Iowa voter, Doug Moats casts his ballot at the Pottawattamie County Courthouse today.
“The candidates are so different that you’re either going to go one way or the other there’s not a whole lot of room in between,” says Moats.
Pottawattamie County Auditor, Marilyn Jo Drake says yesterday more than 400 Iowa residents came to cast their ballots, breaking records and today they expect the same.
Iowa voter, Patricia Barney works in customer service. She says the Hawkeye state could be the deciding factor in this election.
“I interact with a lot of people and it’s so split down the middle here. You see just as many for this party as you do for the other party,” says Barney.
With the race so tight, Barney and Moats agree every vote is going to count.
“I just want to be able to have a decent job, have a decent life and it seems like that’s something worth getting out there and casting your vote for,” says Barney.
“I’m kind of surprised that it’s come down to the small number of delegates that Iowa really has, could be the determining factor,” says Moats.
A factor that may decide who will be the next United States President.
