Blair, NE – Republican Deb Fischer campaigned a short time ago in Blair. With the election less than a week away polls show democrats Bob Kerrey is narrowing what once was a double-digit lead.

A recent Omaha World Herald Poll has Fischer leading by only three points.
Super PAC American Crossroads, formed by Karl Rove has invested $420,000 in the race.
Their first Kerrey attack ad began running today. Republicans are trying to gain a seat that belonged to the retiring Senator Ben Nelson who’s a Democrat.
We asked Fischer what she thought about the most recent poll.
“All the polls are different. We have polls that show that I’m up 16 or I’m up 12 or I’m up three what’s important here is that the candidates are out and talking to Nebraskans,” says Fischer.
Fischer was touring the Novozymes plant, learning more about efficient ethanol production.
