Omaha, NE – Voters are making sure their voices are heard; standing in line to beat an important deadline for the election.

Whether they’re voting for Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney or hoping for a second President Obama term they have one thing in common. They have to register.
Today was the last day to register to vote in-person at the Douglas County Election Commission.
Some people were frustrated waiting and wishing they didn’t procrastinate.
Meghan Shaffer is a nursing student. She admits she doesn’t always vote but she’s compelled to vote this election.
“I was younger and wasn’t really interested in politics you know and as I’m in school now I have a career on the line in the future so it’s important to me,” says Shaffer.
In Sarpy County, 25-year-old Tyler Sorenson is registering for the first time.
“I just don’t feel like we’ve gone where we’re suppose to be so far, so I’d like to see any kind of change,” says Sorenson.
In the past Sorenson didn’t think his vote would matter but now he thinks differently.
