It's go time for volunteers at the Republican office in downtown Council Bluffs, prepping for the election and Sunday's visit from VP hopeful Paul Ryan.Jack Schwieger, who was born and raised in Iowa says, "This is the most critical election in my lifetime that I can recall."

The 83-year old Schwieger just found out Ryan will be a few blocks away Sunday. He's disappointed in the current administration but hopes those attending will at least listen with an open mind. Schwieger says, "Republican or a Democrat, and I'd vote for a Democrat in a minute and I have voted Democrat in the past but this is terrible."

The latest Rasmussen Poll has Mitt Romney ahead of President Obama by just one percentage point. Both sides are criss crossing the country trying to convince voters they're the right choice.  Dustin Lockard who was born and raised in Iowa says, "I just want a candidate to do what they actually promise for once."  Ryan is expected to give plenty of promises in Council Bluffs. The fact that he's even coming to the Hawkeye state is a positive sign. Lockard says, "I think it's good that they're both coming here, even if i'm not voting for them i still feel like it's good that they would care enough to come here and talk with us."

Sunday's event at the Bass Pro shop in Council Bluffs is free but tickets are required.
