
Omaha, NE - Hundreds of workers at Omaha's CommScope plant will lose their jobs when the company closes next year.
Better known as Connectivity Solutions, the company makes parts used in cable networks. CommScope announced Wednesday those operations will be moved to other corporate locations.
CommScope President and Chief Operating Officer Eddie Edwards blames economic conditions for closing the Omaha plant. The company estimates it will save $18-22 million a year by closing the Omaha plant.
The company is based in Hickory, North Carolina, the Omaha plant is located at 120th and I.
