The Importance of Being Earnest

  • Print

Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, a hilarious comedy rife with mistaken identity, opens Friday, April 25th at 7:30pm. The story is filled with funny social guffaws in the tradition of any comedy-of-manners work. Additional performances are April 26th, May 2nd and May 3rd at 7:30pm; and April 27th and May 4th at 2:00pm. All performances are at Theater For All, 30th and Q Street. For advanced reservations, call Theater For All at 402-733-2787. Performed and directed entirely by volunteers, dialogue remains true to Wilde’s original script but costumes have been modernized to the 1940’s in this adaptation of one of Oscar Wilde’s most well-loved works. “These young actors each have an innate sense of comedic timing and true insight into the motivations of their characters,” said John Payton, Director. “Bring the whole family for a fun night of live theater.”

Occurs weekly: Friday, Saturday (7:30 PM to 9:30 PM) [starting Apr 25, 2014 ending May 3, 2014]
