Cinco de Mayo Omaha
Cinco de Mayo Omaha 2014 features the first-ever Spice of South O--authentic Mexican fare from local restaurants and food vendors along with live music, margaritas and other festivities. Other Cinco de Mayo Omaha 2014 highlights include a parade, a variety of food and refreshment booths, a beer garden, various vendors and exhibitors, and contests for all ages. The family-friendly celebration will feature a full carnival and activities just for children ages 2 to 10 (Mundo de Niños/Kids’ World) and Area Juvenil/Youth Area for pre-teens and teens. Free live music from area performers, as well as internationally known Mexican artist Diana Reyes, will also entertain festivalgoers throughout the weekend on the Plaza de la Raza at 25th and N Streets. Associated events include the Latino Fiesta of Comedy and Culture, a health fair and a mariachi Mass.
