14th African American History Challenge
The 100 Black Men of Omaha, Inc. (100BMO) will host its 14th Annual African American History Challenge (AAHC) on Saturday, March 1, 2014, 4pm at Burke High School, 12200 Burke Blvd., Omaha, NE 68154. The goal of the competition is to foster an appreciation of African-American history and culture in Omaha youth. The competition is open to the public at no charge. Since 2001, the 100 BMO has awarded over $255,000 in prizes and scholarships to deserving middle and high school students by marshaling support from the corporate, philanthropic and educational community. The competition is divided into two divisions. The winning teams from each division will also receive an all-expense paid trip to the 100 Black Men of America’s National Conference. This year’s National Conference will take place, June 11th – June 15th in Hollywood, FL.
