  • Print

Metropolitan Community College and the Emmett Till Legacy Foundation present the documentary “Who Killed Emmett Till?” on Thursday, Dec. 12, followed by a panel discussion with Omaha native Deborah Watts, a Till family member and co-founder of Emmett Till Legacy Foundation. The murder of Emmett Till in August 1955 became one of the pivotal moments of the American Civil Rights Movement. Through the documentary, viewers observe the timeline of the murder, interviews from witnesses and the murder investigation where Emmett’s killers were allowed to walk away without even a slap on the wrist. Share insights on how this story is relevant today, given the current justice for Trayvon Martin efforts.
