Deer Park Neighborhood Tour
Love getting inside historic buildings? Looking for ideas and inspiration for your own property? Join us for the ninth Neighborhood Restoration and Preservation Tour Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013 from Noon to 5 p.m. This year’s tour features late 19th century and early 20th century homes and buildings in Omaha’s Deer Park neighborhood bounded by Interstate 480, the Missouri River, Martha Street and Spring Lake Park. The tour will include the Vinton Street Commercial District. Tickets are $10 each or two for $15. Purchase tickets in advance at www.restorationexchange.org or the day of the tour at Chops Bowling Alley. Admission will include a brochure highlighting historical information on the neighborhood and buildings featured. Parking is available at Chops Bowling Alley, St. Patrick’s Church or at Bag N Save.
