The Sarpy County Museum’s annual garage sale
The Sarpy County Museum’s annual garage sale is set for September 20-21 from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. at the historic Bellevue depot, 2402 Clay Street.
Browse through treasures like a cupcake-shaped cookie jar, a photo of Ronald Reagan, an American Steakhouse fried onion maker in the original box, Tupperware and a 50th anniversary set of Gone with the Wind VHS tapes in a commemorative case. Need the VHS player to play the movie? A couple of those are available as well. Other items for sale include: furniture, housewares, toys, holiday decorations and lots of books.
Saturday, Sept. 20, the museum is also open to visitors. Admission is free. Proceeds from the sale go to support the museum and its mission of collecting, preserving and interpreting Sarpy County history.
Sept. 29 – History of Nebraska Event. Sarpy County through the eyes of Peter Sarpy with Darrel Draper, sponsored by the Humanities Nebraska. This event is free to the public. 2 p.m.
Oct. 6 – Bellevue’s Buried History Cemetery Tour – Guides will highlight the military history of the area through a tour of the Bellevue Cemetery. Cost is $10 per person or $30 for a family. Active and retired military will receive a half-price discount with a military ID on an individual ticket. 1 p.m. at the Bellevue Cemetery.
