Volunteers Needed - Market to Market Relay

Volunteers are needed to help with Market to Market Relay from Omaha, NE to Lincoln, NE. As charity partner for this event, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society agrees to recruit volunteer to help with the relay. We need about 50 volunteers for this event. Please see the description of tasks volunteers are needed for below: Market to Market Relay – Saturday, October 12, Omaha, NE > Lincoln, NE All volunteers receive a M2M shirt and admission to the Race Shindig with food and beverage tickets. 9 cyclists to lead runners (3 waves of 3) -Lead runners from Start (Memorial Park) to exchange point Aksarben area -Must have helmet & light, road bikes are not recommended due to some off-road paths, hybrids bikes are best -Timeframe – 4:30 am – 10:00 am (arrive 30 minutes before your start time) 30 Volunteers for Finish Line Shindig Located in parking lot west of Memorial Stadium & North of Haymarket 8:00 am – 1:00 pm: Set up crew 10 volunteers needed Setting up tents, tables, and signage 2:30 pm – 9:00 pm: Hospitality 12 volunteers needed Helping with photo booths, results, handing out beverages, clearing tables 2:30 pm – 9:00 pm: Race Recovery 8 volunteers needed Pass out Gatorade & food, direct runners and shindig guests around lot 10-12 Volunteers for a Relay Exchange Point More information to come, time is based on exchange point location Omaha side of relay (morning), Lincoln side of relay (afternoon) Help with directing traffic, race support checking for injuries & runners, runner safety 5.75 hour time commitment Please contact Kate Eaton if you or your group is interested in volunteering for this event.
