“Take Me to the River” by Constance Congdon

  • Print

Enjoy an evening of theatre at Playfest, a week-long theatre festival, with honored playwright Constance Congdon’s Take Me to the River. For the first time ever in the Great Plains Theatre Conference history, MCC’s Fort Omaha Parade Ground will be the setting. Directed by Cindy Melby Phaneuf, Congdon’s play concerns two Colorado farming families who are forced to deal with the devastation caused by the closing of government wells. Struggling to overcome the effects, they survive with humor, anger and even a little wisdom. Following the performance, Congdon will discuss her play with the audience in a short talk-back session. Seating begins at 7 p.m.

Occurs once: May 30, 2013 (7:30 PM to 8:30 PM)
