22Q at the Zoo!
22Q at the Zoo! Worldwide Awareness Day will take place at various zoos throughout the world, including locally at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo. The third-annual event aims to raise the public profile of chromosome 22Q11.2 deletion syndrome, a genetic disorder almost as common as Down syndrome. If you would like to show your support for families affected by 22Q deletion syndrome – also known as velo-cardio-facial syndrome and DiGeorge syndrome – Henry Doorly Zoo will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A picnic lunch will be provided to individuals who RSVP to Anne Stalker at email@example.com or Aaron Dauel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
