Deborah Grassman, Author and Key Note Speaker for
Caring for Veterans At End of Life: War & Peace Conference
WHAT: Caring for Veterans at End of Life: War & Peace Conference
WHO: Deborah Grassman, RN, MS, NP served as director of the hospice program
at Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Medical Center in St. Petersberg, Florida for 18
years. Her identification of the unique needs of Veterans led to the creation of
the national “We Honor Veterans” program by the National Hospice and Palliative
Care Association and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Deb earned her master’s degree in Psych-Mental Health Nursing and has
published numerous articles including her book, Peace at Last: Stories of Hope
and Healing for Veterans and Their Families.
WHEN: May 15th, 2013 from 8:00am-4:30pm

WHY: To provide valuable continuing education for nurses and other healthcare
