Church of the Resurrection Fish & Spaghetti Dinner - Saturday, April 20, Noon-6 p.m.

What's all the fuss about a church dinner? When it comes to this North Omaha Episcopal church with red-as-hot-sauce front doors it's the difference between bland and shout-out-loud hallelujah good.
Think fish fry meets soul food and you've got it.
The featured attraction is deep fried whole catfish with a killer, kick-it-up-a-notch coating, served with a helping of spaghetti in a hearty Italian meat sauce. Then there's creamy, tangy coleslaw and melt-in-your-mouth cornbread. All made with love. Homemade desserts, too.
This is Comfort Food 101. Come hungry and leave satisfied and justified.
Adult meals are $12.00. Children 10 and under eat for $6. Dine in, take out and delivery available. Call ahead your order.
Proceeds from this fund raiser benefit the church's outreach ministries serving North Omaha youths and families.
Officially called the Wesley Dean Memorial Fish & Spaghetti Dinner, the event's named after a beloved parishioner who led the church men’s group that originally put on the dinner. The event got its start at St. Philip the Deacon Episcopal Church. The tradition carried over when St. Philip merged with St. John Episcopal Church to form Church of the Resurrection in 1986.
The St. Theresa Guild sponsors the event today.
Occurs once: Apr 20, 2013 (12:00 PM to 6:00 PM)
