Lewis and Clark Country Family Days

  • Print

Family fun and it's free! Join us and have fun learning about The Lewis and Clark Expedition which went right up our Missouri River. From our Lewis and Clark Traveling Trunk learn about the items the men of the expedition used, and the problems and difficulties they encountered on their long journey to the Pacific Ocean and back. Lewis and Clark themed crafts available for kids. Enjoy a short movie about the Eastern Legacy of the expedition. We will present a program at 1 p.m. on Bison. With the help from a 'young explorer' from our audience you will see just how important the bison was to the people of the early plains. Food is available for purchase. This is the first in a series of summer programs sponsored by Mouth of the Platte Chapter, Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation.
