The event takes place on Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the University of Nebraska Omaha, 6705 Dodge St., UNO -Thompson Alumni Center. The purpose of the event is to make sure the community’s questions are adequately answered and that those involved can receive valuable public input on improving the child welfare system in Nebraska. The presenters will be Thomas Pristow, Director of Children and Family Services, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and Dave Newell, President and CEO Nebraska Families Collaborative. Each will give a brief presentation on the status of Child Welfare in Nebraska from their respective organizations. They will then be open to questions and feedback from the audience.
